You have 48 hours to grab this game for free on GOG

GOG’s Winter Sale is still on, and today the masters of DRM-free PC gaming have a free game up for grabs on their online storefront.

Today, X-Morph: Defense – Complete Edition is available for free from GOG, giving Windows gamers access to an excellent top-down shooter/tower defence hybrid. This game comes from EXOR Studios, the developer behind this year’s RIFT BREAKER.

This edition of X-Morph: Defense contains the game’s three DLC packs and a copy of the game’s official soundtrack. X-Morph is designed to be played as a single-player title and as a two-play co-op game, with each campaign mission playing out differently in co-op to bring additional variety into the game.

In this hybrid shooter/tower defense title, players control alien invaders on earth, who must protect their X-Morph harvesters from waves on Earth’s human forces. Gamers can do this by creating towers to defend these harvesters, and by piloting an X-Morph fighter to take on Earth’s defenders directly.

Like all games on GOG, X-Morph: Defense is a DRM-free PC game. This means that once downloaded, the game does not require an internet connection or account to play. That said, users of GOG’s Galaxy client can benefit from Cloud Saves.

PC gamers can grab their free copy of X-Morph: Defense from GOG until December 29th at 2 PM GMT.
