ASUS ROG Ally 2 PC Gaming Handheld Leaks
ASUS’ second-generation ROG Ally handheld has leaked, and the black model has an Xbox button
It now seems incredibly likely that ASUS will unveil its ROG Ally 2 PC gaming handheld at Computex 2025. First, we had ASUS’ April Fool teaser. Now, we have images of the handheld and detailed specifications for the device (via Huang514613 and 91 Mobiles).
Images of the new handheld showcase two versions of the device, a black model and a white model. The black version of this device also appears to have a dedicated “Xbox” button on the left-hand side of the handheld’s screen. On the white model, this “Xbox” button appears to be more generic.
There are rumours that Microsoft plans to reveal an Xbox OS for handheld Windows gaming devices. If this is the case, ASUS’ ROG Ally 2 could be the first of these devices.
Overall, ASUS’ new handheld appears to be more “controller-like” than its original. 91 mobiles reports that the device can feature up to 64GB of memory, and that the device features LPDDR5-8533 memory. This is much faster than the LPDDR5-6400 memory that the original ROG Ally used.
These ROG Ally 2 leaks suggest that ASUS plans to release multiple versions of its next Ally handheld. These variants may include different processors, DRAM configurations, and storage options. After all, AMD does have several new Ryzen Z2 series processors in the works.
We expect ASUS to reveal more detailed information about their upcoming handheld at Computex 2025.
