Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC and update content confirmed

Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC is on the way

Resident Evil Requiem has become a huge success for Capcom, having already sold over 5 million copies across all platforms. In a post shared today, Requiem’s game director, Koshi Nakanishi, confirmed new add-ons, including a Photo Mode and a “new minigame”. Furthermore, a story expansion/DLC for Resident Evil Requiem has been confirmed.

Resident Evil Requiem’s planned “minigame” is due to arrive in May. Currently, the game’s planned story expansion has no release date. Nakanishi says that the expansion will “delve deeper into the world of Requiem.” He also says that the expansion “will take some time, so we ask for your patience.”

Sadly, no details have been released for Requiem’s planned expansion and minigame content. Will the minigame be a new “The Mercenaries” mode, like those in Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4’s Remake? Will it be something new?

Given how well-made Resident Evil Requiem is, it is unsurprising that DLC content is on the horizon. The DLC story expansions for Resident Evil 4 (Remake) and Village proved popular, so why not make an expansion for Requiem? The big question now is, who will this new DLC pack follow? Will it continue Leon’s story? Will it be a side story with Chris Redfield or Rose? If not, could it be a new story for series newcomer Grace?
