Overclocking

When we reviewed the Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2070 Super we found it absolutely smashed the Nvidia card in both raw overclocking speed and also the average boost clock so important for high frame rates over long gaming sessions. The RTX 2080 Super from Gigabyte follows this pattern. We managed to get another 100 MHz from the GPU and this ended up giving us an average boost clock a mere 2 MHz below the best we’ve seen, the Waterforce edition of the Gigabyte Aorus. At stock the Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2080 Super goes one better averaging 15 MHz higher than the Waterforce version of the vanilla RTX 2080 and being the fastest stock RTX 2080 we’ve tested.
