We could go back through history and discover the launch prices of every card around, but we think at this point the real use of pricing as a comparative tool is those decisions we all make that go “but for just a few quid more I could get”, which soon lead into a spiral where you start off attempting to buy a dual core CPU and talk yourself into sixteen core one because, relative to what you were just looking at, it’s only a few quid more. The primary thing this graph shows is how affordable this generation of Nvidia cards are compared to their predecessors, and how expensive the RTX 3090 is relative to the rest of the Ampere cards.
