1440p Performance – Benchmark Results

Update – Codemasters has confirmed to us that Patch 1.07 for F1 2019 shipped with an incomplete integration of Nvidia’s DLSS technology, which explains the graphical issues which we have experienced within the game.

F1 2019’s DLSS support was released prematurely, and Codemasters has confirmed that a corrected implementation of the feature will be added to the game in an upcoming patch. We plan to look into F1 2019’s updated DLSS support when it is officially added to the game.

Our original Analysis follows.

At 1440p its clear that our RTX 2080 Ti is CPU limited. “ith all game settings presenting nigh identical framerates during each benchmark run. With this in mind, we also see that our RX Vega 56 and RTX 2060 Founders Edition are similarly limited when using FidelityFX and DLSS, respectively.

With our RTX 2060 Founders Edition, we can see that DLSS presents a larger performance uplift than FidelityFX Upscaling. This comes at the cost of the game’s strange DLSS quirks that we mentioned earlier.

When we compare F1 2019’s Standard TAA and TAA with FidelityFX Sharpening, we can see that performance is practically identical, with only the 6GB RTX 2060 presenting any issues.
