PCS Zircon Elite R Review

Introduction

We always like the naming conventions of Wakefield’s PCSpecialist. Who doesn’t delve into the world of nesosilicates when needing a new system name? We have, if you’ve got a good memory or just are willing to click links, already reviewed the PCS Zircon Ultra R. Based around a full suite of AMD products, and performed like a champ. Although nearly anything with a 9800X3D in it will do well.

However, what if you want a slightly more affordable all AMD rig? Perhaps you’ve just seen the launch of the AMD RDNA 4 graphics cards and wanted to get on board. We wouldn’t blame you, they’re excellent. In particularly they’re fantastic at this end of the price spectrum, with FSR being a brilliant way of gaining high frame rates without compromising image quality too much.

Today, therefore, we have the PCS Zircon Elite R. Boasting a Ryzen 5 9600X processor and Radeon RX 9070 graphics card it’s right in the price performance sweet spot of the red team’s range. Like all PCSpecialist systems you aren’t being made to pay for things just because. Instead a careful component selection means that you have all you need to get gaming straight away, whilst still having the security of knowing there are no needless compromises made to achieve a certain pricing.

It’s always better to show than tell, so cast your eyes upon the specification list for our particular build below, and we’ll meet you on the next page for some photographs.
