Battlefield 5 is currently in development

We all know that a new Battlefield title is in development, after all a new Battlefield game is releases every 2 years and Battlefield 4 released in 2014. 

Now according to a tweet from DICE development director Dan Vaderlind in a tweet has said that the majority of the team that have been working on Star Wars Battlefront, including himself, will be moving to their new Battlefield Project, leaving only a small part of the team to continue working on Star Wars Battlefront. 

Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield..

Right now it is expected that Battlefield 5, or whatever it will be called,  will be a move back to being a Militaristic shooter, after the cop theme of Battlefield: Hardline has proven unpopular.

EA has already promised that the company will be releasing a new FPS game every year, which between Battlefront, Battlefield and Titanfall should not be that big of an ask for the company. 

Battlefield 5 is expected to launch in the Holiday 2016 period, three years after the release of Battlefield 4.
