Lucky’s Tale to be Bundled with Every Oculus Rift

Lucky’s Tale, a VR Platforming title will be Bundled with Every Oculus Rift alongside Eve: Valkyrie at Launch, meaning that users will have a bunch of games to play at launch, even if they only bought the hardware. 

The game is a VR platformer where the player is the eyes of the camera, providing a level of immersion and presence that has never been seen before in a 3rd person platformer.

The developers, Playful games, have been backing the Oculus Rift from the very beginning, backing the original Kickstarter and having worked with the Oculus Team with several prototypes over the past 3 years. Hopefully this will mean that their game will not only perform well in VR, but take advantage of everything that it has to offer.  

Lucky’s Tale is a delightful platforming adventure game designed exclusively for the Oculus Rift. Join Lucky as he runs, jumps, climbs and spins his way through bright, colorful worlds filled with thrilling challenges, wacky creatures, and all the shiny things a little fox could ever want!

Built from the ground up for virtual reality, the game invites you to step inside a vibrant, living world like never before. Whether you’re racing with Lucky through lush trees, dodging swamp pits, battling menacing bosses, or mastering mini-games, you’ll feel like you’re really there thanks to the magic of VR.

Right now the release date and price of the Oculus Rift has yet to be announced, but having 2 games already coming bundles with the device Valve and HTC is definitely going to need a respond to this with their own HTC Vive bundle or at a minimum launch at a lower price.

2016 is set to be the year of VR, though whether or not it will be successful still remains to be seen.
