Pokemon Kanto Region recreated in Unreal Engine 4

A Pokemon fan has recreated the entire Kanto Region from Pokemon Red/Blue/Green in the Unreal Engine 4, using assets that were entirely self made.

This creation was a 7 month long project by a man called Preston Dunagan, remaking the entire game map with the exception of the Viridian Forest and the Safari Zone, due to those areas being considered indoor areas by the game, which therefore do not fit inside the main map.

This is a project I have been working on for the past 7 months. It currently includes all outside areas of the Kanto region (not counting Viridian Forest and the Safari Zone since they are technically indoor areas.) I did not use any marketplace assets, making all models and materials myself. Happy 20th Pokemon!

Right now it is unknown what exactly this map was made for, but given the fact it is made from entirely self made assets and that the builder is a student my guess is that he did this to learn how to use the tools of the video game trade.
