Frontier have released Elite Dangerous: Arena

Frontier have released Elite Dangerous: Arena, a £5 version of the game that will only include the Arena PVP mode of the game for players that prefer fighting over space trucking.

Those who buy and play Elite Dangerous Arena will also be able to upgrade to the full version of the game will receive a discount equal to the cost of the Arena PVP mode, effectively making the Arena mode a PVP demo of the game if you decide to purchase the full title. This will only be available for those who buy the game directly from the Frontier store, rather than on Steam.

This will open Elite Dangerous to a whole new group of players, all of whom you can play against in the Close Quarter Combat Championships (CQC) in Arena mode in Elite Dangerous and Elite Dangerous: Horizons. So if you haven’t played CQC already we have a number of challenges starting today that you can join in with.
