HP’s OMEN X Emperium 65 G-Sync HDR BFGD Costs How Much!?
Since then a lot has changed, with HP announcing that their OMEN X Emperium 65 would launch in February with a price tag of $4,999, offering an enhanced refresh rate of 144Hz and an integrated sound bar to belive great audio quality to match the screen’s high framerate 4K HDR visuals.
Now that’s a pricy monitor, though this price tag was far from unexpected, with Nvidia’s first G-Sync HDR monitors costing around $2,000, or more in some territories. With an upped screen size, more features and Android TV elements, we can certainly see why the price tag has increased, though it’s safe to say that this monitor sits far beyond the price range of most PC gamers.
Right now a lot remains unknown about Nvidia’s BFGDs, such as their support for HDMI 2.1 or any of its features. We’d imagine that a lot of buyers would like to see support for HDMI 2.1, especially given its support for 4K 120Hz and Variable Refresh Rates, both of which will likely become important with the release of next-generation consoles.
With an insane price tag of $4,999 (to start), it is likely that HP’s BFGD will be manufactured in low quantities. We expect Nvidia’s other BFGD partners to release their displays with similar price tags and feature sets, with a shipping date in a similar February 2019 timeframe.
