CD Projekt Red has been the victim of a “targeted cyber attack”
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they do not be negotiating with these attackers, who have threatened to leak their source code onto the web and hand their documents to journalists. It has also been confirmed that the hackers have encrypted CD Projekt Red’s files, though the company has confirmed that their backups remain intact.
In an unusual twist, CD Projekt Red has released the demands of their attackers online, which claims that the group has source code for an unreleased version of The Witcher 3.
