Nvidia’s DLSS technology is now part of Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is one of PC’s most popular shooters, and Nvidia has been working hard to integrate its technologies into the competitive multiplayer FPS.

In March, Nvidia added their latency-reducing Reflex technology to Rainbow Six: Siege, and now, Nvidia has added their performance-boosting DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology to the game. When used together, Nvidia’s promising lower latencies and higher framerates within Rainbow Six Siege, making all desktop RTX graphics cards capable of 100+ FPS average framerates at 4K.

With DLSS, Nvidia’s AI-enhanced rendering technique, Nvidia RTX series graphics cards can achieve high framerates at high resolutions, giving gamers the headroom to utilise higher graphics settings while eliminating the need for gamers to choose between high resolution and high framerates when playing the game.

With DLSS coming to Rainbow Six: Siege, it has become clear why monitor and TV manufacturers are focusing on 4K 120Hz and faster displays, as modern rendering technologies are making high framerates achievable at high resolutions.

Even Nvidia’s RTX 2060 graphics card is now capable of 4K 100+ FPS average framerates in Rainbow Six: Siege at “Max Settings” when DLSS is enabled. Furthermore, when Nvidia’s Reflex technology is also enabled, Nvidia believes that its hardware offers the best possible gameplay experience within the online shooter.
