AMD Vega marketing takes shots at Nvidia’s Volta architecture

In AMD’s recent Vega teaser the company has taken shots at Nvidia’s future Volta architecture, showcasing supreme confidence on the part of AMD.

Vega will be the first high-end GPU that AMD has created since the creation of the Radeon Technologies Group in 2015, with the company already showcasing some huge improvements in their GPU technology with their Polaris Architecture. Right now AMD is staying tight-lipped regarding their new Vega architecture, with many expecting the new architecture to offer increase clock speeds over Polaris and use HBM2 memory.

AMD will be delivering an advanced Vega GPU Preview at CES 2017, finally showcasing what their next generation GPUs are capable of.  AMD Radeon has already showcased Vega playing Star Wars Battlefront at 4K 60Hz, though we should be seeing a more detailed performance overview at CES.

This event will be taking place on January 5th at 2pm GMT, a mere 12 hours after Nvidia’s CES keynote, which takes place at 2.30 AM on January 5th (January 4th at 6.30 pm PST). This will make the 5th of January, 4th/5th of January for our American readers, some very important date/dates for gaming/GPU enthusiasts.
