HTC announce their Vive Deluxe Audio Strap’s pricing and release date
HTC announce the pricing and release date of their Vive VR headset Deluxe Audio Strap, which is designed to offer users a better audio experience and enhanced comfort, especially during long playing sessions.
This new VR add-on will cost $99.99 in the US and will be available for Pre-order on May 2nd, with an official release in June. This new audio strap will include an integrated audio solution that is similar to the Oculus Rift’s stock solution and a modified strap design that is designed to better distribute the mass of the HTC Vive across the users head.
HTC has also announced that their new Vive Tracker accessory will become available for purchase on March 27th for developers, with a price tag of $99.99, with a retail version of the unit releasing later this year.
Right now it is unknown if HTC has plans to release a new revision of the HTC Vive with this new strap design, though it seems likely given the strap’s enhanced comfort characteristics.
