Until Saturday the 7th of April at 10 AM PST (6 PM UK time), Crusader Kings II will be available on Steam for free, granting interested PC gamers permanent access to the game.

Crusader Kings II is a grand strategy game which is set in Medieval Europe, specifically between the years of 1066 and 1453. Throughout the game, players will be tasked with creating a dynasty which can withstand the test of time, expanding their territory while preventing uprising or crisis of succession whenever your leading Lord of King dies.

Since the game released in 2012, Crusader Kings 2 has enjoyed very positive reviews on Steam since release, with the game receiving 28 pieces of DLC since release, including a DLC which can convert Crusader Kings Saves into Europa Universalis, allowing players to continue their reigns into the early modern era. 14 of the game’s 28 DLCs are expansion packs, which offer earlier start dates, an expanded map, new kingdoms, additional gameplay mechanics and more.
