Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness will release in June

Far Cry 5 has been one of Ubisoft’s most successful game launches in recent history, offering an enjoyable single-player campaign, spectacular visuals and a tonne of extra player made content thanks to the title’s Arcade mode level editor.

Next month, Far Cry 5 will start receiving content from the title’s £25.99 season pass, stating with the title’s “Hours of Darkness” DLC, which places Far Cry 5’s Wendell “Red” Redler into the Vietnam war on a rescue mission to save his captured comrades. Assets from this DLC are already available in Far Cry 5’s Arcade mode. Each Far Cry DLC will also be available separately, outside of the game’s season pass.

After completing the DLC players will be able to unlock two additional game modes, a “survivor mode” where players have access to limited resources and an “Action Movie mode” where players have enough explosives and equipment to have some “over-the-top action.

Wendell Redler is more than just a Hope County resident, he’s a war veteran soldier of the Vietnam War

Listen to him recount his glory days, as you travel back in time to war-torn Vietnam to take down the Viet-Cong. Trapped Behind enemy lines, rescure your squad mates and evacuate to safety in the first war-based Far Cry. You must maneuver throughout this remote valley in Vietnam, and use survival instinct and stealth to save your team and get home.

Far Cry 5’s Hours of Darkness DLC will be available on June 5th, both as part of Far Cry 5’s season pass and as an individual DLC. Later this year Far Cry 5 will also receive the space-based “Lost on Mars” DLC and a “Zombies” themed DLC.
