Battlefield V’s Firestorm Tutorial Video has Leaked

Battlefield V’s Firestorm mode is set to release sometime this month, finally bringing the title’s Battle Royale mode into reality. Today, Battlefield V’s Firestorm Tutorial Video has leaked onto the internet, letting gamers know exactly how the new game mode works, describing the mode’s vehicular combat, item rarity and more.

Firestorm is not developed by DICE, instead coming from Criterion, the developer behind the PS2/Xbox FPS Black and the parts of Star Wars Battlefront II. The new mode will support up to 64 players, with each player making up part of a 4-player squad, which means that 16 teams will be competing against each other.

Like other Battle Royale modes, the game map will shrink over time, forcing players into an increasingly small playfield, forcing squads closer together as they compete for the best loot. At this time it is unknown how players will spawn into the game map, though the game is known to have a paratrooper system in place, which is currently usable in the game’s airborne mode.
