XSplit has been updated to optimise Nvidia NVENC encoding
With this release, XSplit is offering lower performance overhead for NVENC encodings, which means that PC game streamers can expect to provide increased game performance. Users of GTX 900 series and 10-series graphics cards will have NVENC stream qualities that are similar to X264 Very Fast, while users of Nvidia’s newer Turing-based graphics cards will have levels of stream quality that are more similar to X264 Medium.
Nvidia’s latest Turing-powered graphics cards utilise a new encoding engine, which offers more efficient compression methods to deliver increased levels of image quality without increases to file sizes or bitrates. Below is a comment from XSplit regarding version 3.7 of their application.
In this latest update, we’ve worked with NVIDIA to optimize XSplit Broadcaster’s NVENC implementation by providing better default encoding settings as well as additional options that can improve the overall quality of your stream or recording.
