Avalanche Studios releases their Spring Update for Just Cause 4

Just Cause 4 didn’t launch well on PC, releasing with a poor implementation of anti-aliasing and relatively few graphical options. In short, we were disappointed in the game, but since launch Avalanche Studios has done what they could to salvage their game.

Back in March, Avalanche updated the game to increase its performance and offer a better anti-aliasing solution on both consoles and PC, with today marking the release of the game’s Spring update, which brings with it improved global illumination, increased visibility during nighttime scenes and new content in the form of destructible black hand statues, improved vehicle AI, mobile “chaos objects” and destructible train bridges.

In the trailer below, Avalanche Studios notes the changes that have been made to Just Cause 4.

Is Just Cause 4 a better game today than it was at launch? Yes, undoubtedly so. Moving forward Just Cause 4 is likely to be improved further, with Square Enix having promised Nvidia DLSS support, more updates and additional pieces of DLC content.
