Quantic Dream’s PC Demo for Heavy Rain is now available to download

At GDC 2019, Quantic Dream made a big announcement, confirming that many of the studio’s PlayStation-only released would be coming to PC, exclusively on the Epic Games Store.

This announcement left PC gamers excited, well… some of them were annoyed at the Epic Games Store exclusivity, but most were excited to hear that heavy-hitting PS3/PS4 titles such as Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human were coming to PC. All of these games will release in sometime 2019, with Heavy Rain being the first to hit the platform.

Today marks the release of Heavy Rain’s PC demo on the Epic Games Store, with June 24th marking the game’s full launch on PC. Until June 13th, PC gamers will be able to pre-order Heavy Rain from the Epic Games Store with a £10 discount, making the game £5.99 in the UK. This £10 discount comes courtesy of Epic Games, acting as an incentive to get PC users onto their platform.

On PC Quantic Dream promises to deliver 60FPS framerates and support for 21:9 resolutions with the PC release of Heavy Rain. We will look further into the specifics of the PC version of Heavy Rain at a later date.

– Update – Early users of the demo have been unable to access the game’s contents due to what appears to be a Denuvo server issue. Quantic Dream is currently working on a fix. Updates on the situation are available on Quantic Dream’s Twitter account
