Steam’s Grand Prix Summer Sale is set to start next week

Valve has confirmed that their Summer 2019 sale will not include Steam Trading cards, but instead try “something different” when it comes to event awards. Hopefully, Valve’s plans won’t involve crashing their own servers, which have been a common occurrence during Steam sales over the past decade. 

Those who missed out on many recent AAA released will likely see them on Steam with significant discounts, with Valve’s Winter sale seeing games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Shadow of the Tomb Raider ship with staggeringly high 50% discounts. Both of these games were months old at the time.
