Storage. We all need it. Every PC can benefit from a fast boost drive, and heavy PC users can even benefit from giving their secondary storage devices a speed boost.

When it comes to PC gaming, we all know that game sizes are on the rise. Red Dead Redemption 2 will require 150GB of storage, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare recommends 175GB, and it isn’t uncommon for games to sit within the 50-75GB category. Simply put, PC gamers need a lot of storage these days, and if you want to have fast load times, you best invest in a dedicated game SSD.

This morning, we came across an SSD deal which is sure to delight some of our audience. Yes, this isn’t the fastest SSD, but when it offers 1TB of storage for £82.99, it’s definitely worth looking at. Outside of waiting for Black Friday, this is one of the best SSD deals on the market right now.

Patriot, an SSD maker which hails from the US, is offering PC gamers their 1TB P200 series SATA SSD for £82.99, using Silicon Motion’s 2258XT controller to deliver up to 530MB/s reads and 460MB/s writes. While this isn’t the fastest SATA SSD on the market, it is certainly one of the cheapest.

If you need an extra TB of cheap SSD storage, the Patriot P200 appears to be a good port of call. That said, you can upgrade to one of today’s affordable NVMe drives for £20-40 more. Depending on your needs that extra cost may be worth it, but is cost/GB is king, the P200 looks like the drive for you.

Note that we do not take affiliate money from Amazon or other retailers. We just think that this SSD sits at a reasonable price for those that need a budget-friendly game drive.

Patriot’s P200 SSD is currently available at Amazon UK for £82.99.
