Google confirms that they have sent out all Stadia access codes – Two days after launch

Stadia’s launch has been a complete disaster. There is no other way of putting it. Google failed to fulfil all Stadia pre-orders on launch day, released with an underwhelming lineup of 22 games, without access to several advertised features and failed to give all Founders Edition Purchasers access to the service on day-1.

That’s right, Google couldn’t even send many Stadia purchasers their Stadia Access code on day-1. This left gamers with Stadia hardware and no means to access it and left gamers without Stadia hardware no means to access the service on their PCs or smartphones.

Google has confirmed this morning that everyone who has paid for Stadia’s Founders Edition should now have access to Stadia. This means that Stadia Founders were not able to access the service for its first two days. A simple automated email could have sent these access cores, and Google couldn’t even do that right.

While Stadia is a viable gaming platform, Google’s rushed launch of the platform has left a sour impression within the minds of the media and users alike. Hopefully, Google will be able to turn things around in time, but as it stands, Google’s Stadia platform has been a disappointment.
