For the next week, the prison escape strategy game The Escapists will be available for free on Windows-powered PCs via the Epic Games Store. Strangely, the Epic Games Store doesn’t list the game’s macOS or Linux version on its storefront, despite the Storefront’s support for macOS. 

Normally, this game would cost £12.99, making this a great offer for PC gamers, especially for those who enjoy strategy and puzzle games. Within The Escapists, players must escape from 10 different prisons, where players must avoid the attention of guards, craft materials and keep items hidden from guards. Dashing for the prison gates will not work in The Escapists.  

The Escapists is designed to be a light-hearted game, featuring a pixel-art style and humorous dialogue. 

On December 19th, Epic Games promises “more free games” on its PC games storefront. This suggests that several PC games will be given away for free before Christmas, giving PC gamers a great start to their holidays. 

PC gamers can redeem their free copy of The Escapists on the Epic Games Store.
