Up next in the Epic Games Store’s “12 Days of Free Games” promotional period comes Celeste from Matt Makes Games, the pixel-art platformer which won 2018’s “Best Independent Game” award from The Game Awards.
In Celeste, gamers take control of a young girl called Madaline, who must make her way up a mountain while avoiding deadly obstacles on the way. Thankfully, Madaline can perform a mid-air dash, which allows players to make otherwise impossible jumps. The game’s story has many twists and turns as the game progresses, but we will avoid spoilers here.
On the Epic Games Store, Celeste will be available for free for the next 24 hours, giving PC gamers the ability to try out this indie classic over their holidays. The game is available on PC for free until 4 PM GMT on December 25rd on the Epic Games Store. After then, a new game will be available for free on Epic’s platform.PC Gamers can redeem their free copy of Celeste on the Epic Games Store.
