The Wonderful 101 is getting Remastered, and the game could be coming to PC

Platinum Games have announced that The Wonderful 101 is getting remastered for modern platforms, with Switch, PC and PlayStation 4 version of the game being on the cards.

Nintendo’s Switch console will be the first port of call for this remaster, with both PlayStation 4 and PC acting as stretch goals for Platinum Games’ Kickstarter campaign. So far, the game’s Switch and PC funding targets have been met, though it is likely that the game’s PlayStation 4 target will be met within a few hours.

Platinum Games has promised to release The Wonderful 101 on PC via Valve’s Steam platform. Right now, Platinum Games has listed an April 2020 delivery date on Kickstarter, though it is unknown if this release date applies to PC and PlayStation 4.

Platinum Games has confirmed that the “core content” of The Wonderful 101 is “already established”, confirming that the team is “confident in the development schedule and guarantee that backers will receive their copies in a timely fashion.” The Wonderful 101’s Kickstarter campaign will fund additional content for the game, which is due to be released as free DLC to all backers when it is finished.

So far, The Wonderful 101’s Kickstarter has raised over £260,000, and this total will likely rise far above the game’s $500,000 PlayStation 4 release target before long.
