Apex Legends has already hit 100,000 concurrent players on Steam

Apex Legends has already proven to be a huge success on Steam, achieving concurrent player counts of over 100,000 gamers on its first day on the service. That’s enough to place Apex Legends amongst Steam’s top 10 titles, making the move a huge success for EA.

Apex Legends’ Steam release coincides with the launch of the game’s 7th Season of content, which enables full crossplay for the title and brings a new map to the game called Olympus. This season will also see Horizon get added to the game as a new playable character, offering players new abilities and enabling new co-op tactics within the game.

On Steam, Apex Legends will require an EA Origin login to play, enabling cross-progression between the game’s Steam and Origin versions. This will allow existing Apex Legends players to transition to the game’s Steam version.

At this time, there is no way to track how many players are playing Apex Legends on PC. We can view the game’s concurrent player counts on Steam, but there is no way of knowing how many people are playing the game through EA’s Origin client. Regardless, having 100,000 gamers playing your game is a huge achievement. In the coming days, APex Legend’s Steam playerbase is expected to grow further.
