Halo Developer refutes Halo Infinite “Battle Royale” rumours

Over the past few days, rumours were circulating that Halo Infinite would feature a battle royale mode, similar to Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty Warzone and Apex Legends. Now, Halo’s Community Director has confirmed that these reports are “unfounded”.

This rumour was first reported on Reddit and them reposted on a popular videogame rumours Twitter account, spreading from there to gaming websites and blogs from across the web. Now, these rumours have proven to be false, with Halo’s Brian Jarrard saying that “Nothing gets a post-holiday Monday going like fresh unfounded Halo Infinite rumours.”

Later, Jarrard said that 343 Industries are planning a “year-end update” for Halo Infinite. This should provide gamers with plenty of new information about the game and put to rest many rumours surrounding the game’s development. At this time, Halo Infinite has no firm release date.

Right now, Halo Infinite is still due to release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S systems.
