Gigabyte lists 12GB RTX 3080 TI graphics cards with the ECC

Thanks to @Komachi over on Twitter, we have learnt that Gigabyte has listed eight new RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards with the Eurasian Economic Commission, all of which feature 12GB of video memory.

The models listed with the EEC include Gigabyte’s RTX 3080 Ti Aorus Master, RTX 3080 Aorus Xtreme, RTX 3080 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce, RTX 3080 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce WB (Water Block), RTX 3080 Ti Vision OC, RTX 3080 Ti Eagle OC, RTX 3080 Ti Turbo and their RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC.

These EEC listings seemingly confirm existing rumours surrounding Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, which have speculated that the graphics card will feature 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM over a 384-bit memory bus and feature 256 fewer CUDA cores than Nvidia’s RTX 3090.

If these rumoured specifications are correct, Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti will feature 20% more memory bandwidth and capacity than the RTX 3080 and marginally less compute performance than an RTX 3090. When compared to the RTX 3080, Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti will deliver users a notable performance uplift.

By offering gamers a 20% memory bandwidth upgrade and 17.6% more CUDA cores and 2GB of additional GDDR6 memory, Nvidia will have what they need to compete with AMD’s RX 6900 XT in the $999 section of the graphics card market.
