Forza Horizon 4 is getting delisted on both PC and Xbox

Expiring licenses will soon remove Forza Horizon 4 from sale

Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from digital retailers later this year. Starting today, the game’s DLC content is no longer available to purchase, and the game will be delisted from digital sales platforms on December 15th 2024.

It has been confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 will be removed from sale because of expiring licensing agreements. The game will remain downloadable and playable for existing owners after the game is removed from sale. That means that interested gamers should purchase the game while they still can.

Due to licensing and agreements with our partners, Forza Horizon 4 will be delisted from digital platforms (Microsoft Store and Steam) on December 15, 2024. This means the game and its additional content will no longer be available for purchase through online stores.

Currently, Forza Horizon 4 is available on Steam with a 80% discount. This makes the game’s standard edition available for £10.99 and its Ultimate Edition available for £16.99.

Forza Horizon 4 was released in 2018, making the game almost six years old. If Forza Horizon 5 has the similar licensing agreements to Forza Horizon 4, it will be likely be delisted from digital storefronts in late 2027. That gives Playground Games three years to release Forza Horizon 6, as a failure to do so could leave the PC/Xbox platform without a purchasable Forza Horizon series game.
