Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has been revealed by Capcom
Frank West is back! Capcom has revealed Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
Out of nowhere, Capcom has revealed a “Deluxe Remaster” of their 2006 hit Dead Rising, updating the classic for modern gaming systems. This remaster will be for the “newest generation of platforms”, and will arrive with a “brand new look”.
Sadly, Capcom has not revealed a release date for this new Deluxe Remaster. Even so, their teaser trailer sets expectations high. Below, we can see a major redesign for Frank West, the game’s main character. A lot of the game’s other assets also appear to have received a major graphical uplift.
In Dead Rising, players have three in-game days to investigate the a zombie infestation in Colerado’s Willamette Parkview Mall. Players need to solve the mystery of the zombie outbreak before the end of the final day, when a helicopter will be ready to pick up the photojournalist.
Pretty much everything in the mall is usable as a weapon. That’s part of the magic of Dead Rising. It’s currently unknown whether or not this remaster will feature any new weapons or items. I for one would love to see some more weapon options added to the mix.
Capcom’s new Dead Rising Remaster is expected to be available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Currently, the remaster’s release date is unknown.
