The First Templar is a third-person action adventure title that can be played as a single-player experience or as a co-op title. Players will get to play as one of who main characters, Celian d’Arestide, a French Templar, and his companion, Marie d’Ibelin, a noble lady who has been proclaimed a heretic. These unlikely allies work together to uncover the mysteries of the Templar Order, and the secret of the Holy Grail.
In single-player mode, players can play as both characters and switch between the two at will. The other character is AI controlled. In co-op, players will control one of the two characters, with the second player controlling the previously AI controlled hero.
PC gamers can redeem their free copy of The First Templar – Special Edition through GOG. At this time, it is unknown if GOG plans to offer any more free games during their summer sale.
