Gigabyte preps for Ryzen 9000 with AM5 BIOS updates
Is your motherboard ready for Ryzen 9000? Gigabyte has released BIOS updates for their AM5 motherboards
Gigabyte are ready for the release of AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 series processors. New BIOS updates are now available for all Gigabyte AM5 motherboard that enable support for AMD’s next-gen Zen 5 CPUs. Be it X670, B650, or A620, a new BIOS is available for your motherboard. That said, only AGESA 1.2.0.0a will offer users “optimised” performance for Zen 5 CPUs.
Below, Gigabyte has detailed the capabilities of their Zen 5 compatible BIOS updates and their AGESA versions. Note that AGESA 1.2.0.0a Patch A (Beta) adds support for new overclocking features alongside optimised Ryzen 9000 series support.
BIOS versions:
AGESA 1.1.7.0 Patch A (Release): Released in late May, this version enables boot compatibility with AMD Ryzen 9000 processors across the X670, B650, and A620 motherboards lineup.
AGESA 1.2.0.0a Patch A (Beta): Currently available on the official website, this latest beta BIOS optimizes performance for AMD Ryzen 9000 processors, allowing users to harness the full potential of these next-generation processors.
Three new overclocking features supported by AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors:
- Curve Sharper
- Memory overclocking on the fly
- Memory optimized performance profile.
