Civilization VII is getting a gameplay showcase on August 20th
Gamers will finally be able to see Civilization VII in action on August 20th
Firaxis has announce that they will be showcasing Civilization VII gameplay on August 20th, revealing to the world the next generation of their iconic 4x strategy series. Additionally, the studio has confirmed that they will be at Gamescom 2024, showcasing the game at their official Civilization VII booth.
Civilization VI will soon be ten years old, giving it the longest lifespan of any game in the series. The release of Civ 7 gives Firaxis an opportunity to bring major changes to the franchise. Not only can they give the series some major visual upgrades, but they can also make some deep changes to the game’s core mechanics and systems. Currently, it is unknown what changes are coming with Civ 7. That said but we can expect all the biggest changes to be revealed at this month’s gameplay reveal.

Currently Civilization 7 is due to be released in 2025. Later this month, it is likely that we will receive an official release date for the game. Currently, the game has been revealed for PC. The game has been listed on Steam, but it currently lacks official pricing or a release date.
