Frame Generation Everywhere! – Intel extends XeSS 3 support to new ARC GPUs

Intel extends XeSS 3 support to almost all of its modern GPUs

With the release of its 32.0.101.8509 graphics driver, Intel has extended support for XeSS far beyond the Xe3 GPUs within its Panther Lake series processors. XeSS 3 and its multi-frame generation (MFG) feature are now available on nearly all ARC GPUs. This includes Intel’s ARC Battlemage (B-series) and ARC Achemist (A-Series) discrete GPUs.

Alongside its ARC discrete GPUs, XeSS 3 and multi-frame generation support have also been added to Intel’s Core Ultra and Core Ultra 2 series processors. This includes Intel’s Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake H, and Meteor Lake processors. Yes, Intel has added multi-frame generation support to three generations of Intel ARC Integrated graphics solutions. Nobody else has delivered that.

XeSS 3: Multi-Frame Generation Extended Platform Support

This release extends support beyond the Intel Arc GPUs in Intel Core Ultra Series 3 listed products to include:

  • Intel Arc B-Series discrete GPUs (Codename Battlemage)
  • Intel Arc A-Series discrite GPUs (Codename Alchemist)
  • Intel Arc GPUs in Intel Core Ultra 2 series processors (Codename Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake H)
  • Intel Arc GPUs in Intel Core Ultra processors (Codename Meteor Lake)

Intel ARC Driver Release Notes

With XeSS Multi-Frame generation, Intel CPU users can improve game smoothness by interpolating frames between traditionally generated ones. This makes it easier for Intel users to game at higher frame rates, with up to 4x frame generation available.

XeSS Override

By enabling Intel’s XeSS Frame Generation override, gamers can enable x3 and x4 multi-frame generation in XeSS 2 games. This means that there is no shortage of games that are playable with multi-frame generation today. That’s great news for gamers, and great news for Intel ARC fans.
