Star Wars: Galactic Racer has remarkably low PC system requirements
Star Wars Galactic Racer will be easy to run on PC, though it boasts some high-end features
Fuse Games’ Star Wars: Galactic Racer now has PC system requirements on Steam, setting a low hardware baseline for the new fast-paced racing game. The game is coming to PC this year, and its minimum GPU is a 6GB RTX 2060, a mid-range GPU from 2019. Not bad considering how nice this game looks.
While the game has low baseline hardware requirements, the game also boasts advanced features for gamers with high-end hardware. The game features hardware-accelerated ray-traced Lumen lighting, which can be enhanced further with Nvidia DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
On PC, Star Wars: Galactic Racer will launch with support for DLSS 4.5. This includes Nvidia’s 2nd generation DLSS Transformer model for Super Resolution (Upscaling), alongside DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation.
While I would not expect advanced features like Ray Traced Hardware Lumen to run well on a GPU like Nvidia’s RTX 2060, it is good to see Fuse Games building a game that intends to run well on both high-end and low-end PCs. Note that an SSD is required to run this game, along with at least 12GB of system memory.
Minimum:
-
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia RTX 2060 / Intel Arc A580 / AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB
- Storage: 50 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is due to be released later this year on PC and consoles.
