Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are currently in development – leaker claims
Halo Studios plans to remake the original Halo Trilogy
According to a report from Rebs Gaming, Halo Studios is planning to create remakes of the original Halo Trilogy. Remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 are reportedly in early development, and both projects will continue regardless of the performance of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is due to launch this year. The game is a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved and has been built using Unreal Engine 5. Alongside a rumoured multiplayer project and a brand-new Halo mainline game, Halo Studios is reportedly working on five projects at once. Remakes of Halo 1, 2, and 3, a new Halo game, and a multiplayer game.
Halo Studio’s multiplayer title will reportedly be an extraction shooter codenamed “Project Eker”. This project is reportedly an evolution of Halo’s long-rumoured battle royale project. Halo: Campaign Evolved is reportedly releasing this summer. The game will feature new content in the form of three prequel missions. These missions are set before Halo’s original campaign and will feature new enemies, such as Brutes and expand the game’s story.

If these leaks are true, Microsoft has an aggressive release schedule for its Halo franchise. Microsoft may be aiming to rapidly release remakes of the first three Halo games and succeed them with an all-new Halo game. If that’s the case, Halo fans have a lot to look forward to. That said, it remains to be seen if Halo Campaign Evolved can live up to its classic versions.
