LG launches the world’s first native 1000Hz Full HD monitor for competitive gaming
LG’s UltraGear 25G590B is a crazy-fast gaming monitor
LG is pushing the limits of competitive gaming technology with its new UltraGear 25G590B monitor. This new LG 24.5-inch Full HD monitor boasts a maximum refresh rate of 1000Hz, delivering an ultra-high refresh rate at an ideal size for competitive gaming.
This ultra-fast IPS monitor is designed for fast-paced gaming, and does not rely on “Dual Mode” to deliver its high refresh rate. This is a native 1080p monitor. Prior 1000Hz monitors used 720p modes to deliver 1000Hz refresh rates. This is a real 1000Hz Full HD gaming monitor.
With its 1000Hz refresh rate, LG promises excellent motion clarity. This screen’s high refresh rate and use of “Motion Blur Reduction Pro” technology promise sharp details and smooth motion. That’s perfect for fast-paced FPS games and games where visual clarity matters.
This monitor also uses a low-reflection film to reduce glare and increase immersion.

Thanks to this new monitor, competitive games can be played at higher framerates than ever with exceptional clarity. We’re going to need faster CPUs and GPUs to get most competitive games to run at 1000 Hz. If nothing else, these screens will create demand for AMD’s next-generation Zen 6 CPUs. That said, we’re unlikely to see AMD unveil new Zen 6 consumer products at Computex. However, Biostar has noted that they will show “next-generation AMD” motherboards at the event.
LG says that this new 1000Hz gaming display will become available in the second half of this year. Retail pricing is unavailable at this time.
