Warhorse Studios confirms planned “Middle-Earth RPG”

Warhorse Studios is working on a Lord of the Rings RPG

Warhorse Studios, the developer behind the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, has confirmed that it is working on two new games. These games are “a new Kingdom Come Adventure” and “an open-world Middle-Earth RPG”.

As for the new Kingdom Come game, it is unknown whether it is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 or a new spin-off. Furthermore, it is unknown when/where Warhorse Studio’s Middle-earth game will take place in the broader Lord of the Rings universe.

For now, all Warhorse Studios has to say is that they are “excited to tell you more when the time is right”.

Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 released last year and was hugely successful. The game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with 92% of all English-language reviews being positive. The game also achieved a peak concurrent player count of 256,206 on Steam at launch. That’s almost as high as Forza Horizon 6’s peak player count.
