Nvidia RTX Spark gains “native anti-cheat” support for Windows in many games

Nvidia’s RTX Spark is breaking boundaries for Windows-on-ARM in a way Qualcomm never could

Nvidia’s RTX Spark is opening doors for Windows-on-ARM, with Microsoft confirming that several major multiplayer titles now support “native anti-cheat” on ARM-based Windows platforms. RIOT Games has announced that League of Legends and Valorant will support the platform, as will PUBG: Battlegrounds. Nvidia is breaking barriers for ARM-based Windows PCs.

Until now, gaming on a Windows-on-ARM PC has been a joke. Yes, Qualcomm has made major strides in this area. Regardless, it cannot be said that Windows on ARM was taken seriously by developers. Game support on Qualcomm SOCs is spotty at best, though the same isn’t true for Nvidia’s RTX Spark.

In the wake of RTX Spark, we have seen Xbox PC App support for ARM, expanded Prism emulator capabilities, and “native anti-cheat” support from Epic Games’s Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye. That’s the power of Nvidia and their push for ARM-based CPUs with powerful RTX Blackwell graphics. Nvidia has forced the gaming industry to take ARM-based CPUs seriously in a way that Qualcomm never could.

Game developers have also laid a strong foundation for RTX Spark’s arrival. Today, native anti-cheat solutions from partners like Epic’s Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye, expanded Prism emulator compatibility, and XBOX PC app support means players will have access to a deep catalog of Windows PC games. RTX Spark will bring even higher levels of gaming performance to AAA titles on Arm. Riot Games, one of the world’s leading game developers and publishers, has announced that League of Legends and VALORANT are coming to the platform. PUBG: Battlegrounds, the iconic battle royale title from KRAFTON, will also be joining the expansive catalog of compatible titles including Pragmata, Alan Wake 2Naraka: Bladepoint, War Thunder and more.

With the launch of RTX Spark, Windows on ARM could become a viable gaming platform. However, it remains to be seen how well most PC games will run on Nvidia’s ARM-based processors. Yes, Nvidia has strong GPUs, but games don’t run on GPUs alone. Will legacy titles run well on RTX Spark? Will all new games run well on Nvidia’s platform? I guess we will find out later this year.
