AMD confirms major Windows 10 bug in its 26.6.2 GPU drivers
AMD Software 26.6.2 is causing issues for Windows 10 users
AMD has confirmed an issue that’s affecting Windows 10 users with a Radeon GPU and AMD Software 26.6.2. For some users, AMD Software is failing to launch on Windows 10 systems, with the software claiming that it is incompatible with the OS.
For now, AMD has recommended using its older AMD Software 26.6.1 driver as a “temporary workaround”. However, this driver lacks support for AMD’s FSR 4.1 upscaler on RDNA 3 graphics cards.
Given how monumental AMD Software 26.6.2 is for RDNA 3 GPU users, many gamers are rightly disappointed that this driver doesn’t work on their Windows 10 systems.

(AMD Software 26.6.2 can fail to launch on Windows 10 systems)
AMD Software 26.6.2 was a major driver release for Radeon GPU users. Not only did this driver deliver FSR 4.1 upscaling support to RDNA 3 GPU users, but it is also optimised for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Doom: The Dark Ages – Revelations. Furthermore, it also includes several bug fixes.
Hopefully, AMD will address this issue soon and release a revised driver for Windows 10 users.
