Rebel Wolves significantly lowers The Blood of the Dawn Walker’s PC system requirements through optimisation
Rebel Wolves has completed a fresh optimisation pass for The Blood of the Dawnwalker, and the studio has confirmed that it has been able to significantly lower the game’s PC system requirements. Now, the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements feature lower-end CPUs and GPUs, much lower than what the company detailed in April.
The Blood of the Dawnwalker is a new action RPG from several former The Witcher developers. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and will support modern upscaling technologies like AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS. The game requires an SSD and can run on GPUs with as little as 6GB of VRAM. However, 8GB or more of VRAM is recommended.
In The Blood of the Dawnwalker, gamers will play as Coen, a young man who has been turned into a Dawnwalker. Players are human by day and vampire by night. Coen has 30 days to save their family, and every quest will see the time tick forward. Gamers must choose who to help and who to ignore.
Optimisation works
For Blood of the Dawnwalker’s minimum system requirements, which target native 1080p 30 FPS, the game’s minimum CPUs have changed from an Intel i7-8700K and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X to an Intel i5-11400F and an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. GPU-wise, the game’s minimum GPUs have been lowered from an Nvidia GTX 1070 or RTX 3050 and a Radeon RX Vega 56 to an Nvidia GTX 1060 and an AMD RX 580.

Recommended Specifications
If you want to play Blood of the Dawnwalker at 1080p 60 FPS at high settings, I’ve got good news. Both this game’s CPU and GPU requirements have been significantly lowered. Remember, these system requirements are for native 1080p gameplay, so no upscaling trickery. GPU-wise, the game has moved from an Nvidia RTX 5060 and AMD RX 6800 XT recommendation to an Nvidia RTX 4060 and an AMD RX 7600 XT. Intel’s ARC B580 has also been added for good measure.
Rebel Wolves plan to release more detailed PC system requirements at a later date. The Blood of the Dawnwalker is coming to PC on September 3rd. These requirements will detail hardware recommendations and presets for Medium and Ultra settings at various resolutions. This will be completed after the game’s “final optimisation process”.
