MSI unveils the world’s first Inkjet-printed 27-inch 4K 120Hz OLED monitor
Inkjet-printed OLED technology could make OLED screens much more affordable
MSI has unveiled its PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12, which the company calls the world’s first 27-inch 4K 120Hz Inkjet-Printed (IJP) OLED monitor. The panel comes from TCL COST, which pioneered IJP OLED technology. MSI is displaying this new monitor at ChinaJoy 2026 and has not confirmed its price or release date
While its refresh rate is not as fast as 4K OLED screens from Samsung and LG, this IJP OLED screen has impressive specifications. It uses a standard RGB subpixel layout, reducing text fringing, covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and has a Delta E accuracy of ≤2. This makes this monitor ideal for professional use.
The MSI PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 is DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and boasts a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It also boasts MSI’s advanced anti-glare coating, making the screen more scratch-resistant.
MSI OLED Auto Care: The World’s First Uninterrupted OLED Protection for Monitors
With this new monitor, MSI has delivered “MSI OLED Auto Care” technology. This feature allows MSI to apply Data Counting Compensation (DCC) in real time, eliminating the need for disruptive mid-session pauses and prompts from older OLED Care techniques.
The MSI PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 focuses on productivity. However, its 120Hz maximum refresh rate also makes it suitable for gaming and other workloads. Yes, it isn’t the fastest 4K OLED monitor on the market, but 120Hz is fast enough for most gamers.
