AIDA 64 gains “Zen 7” CPU support years ahead of launch
AIDA 64 gains Zen 7 CPU support two years ahead of launch
AIDA 64 has been updated with preliminary support for “AMD Zen 7 server processors”. AMD recently confirmed that Zen 7 EPYC CPUs will launch in 2028, making AIDA 64’s CPU support two years early.
Videocardz was the first to report on this software support. It is currently unknown what this “preliminary” level of CPU support includes. This support likely covers early CPU detection and platform support, not platform-specific optimisations. This should enable early platform identification and testing for AIDA 64 tests.
AMD has ramped Zen 6 CPU production on TSMC’s 2nm process and is not available to consumers. Early Zen 7 CPU support highlights AMD’s commitment to its future CPU roadmap and its desire to ensure Zen 7 launches in 2028 as planned.

AMD’s Zen 6 CPU lineup will become available in 2026 and 2027, with “Venice” CPUs arriving this year while “Verano” CPUs arrive in 2027.
In 2028, Zen 7 “Florence” CPUs will arrive. These CPUs will use a “next-gen process node”, support “ACE” AI instructions, and next-generation memory types. This means that Zen 7 server CPUs should support LPDDR6 and DDR6 memory.
