Ubisoft meets XCOM – Rainbow Six Tactics is coming
Ubisoft unveils Rainbow Six Tactics for PC and consoles
Ubisoft has officially unveiled Rainbow Six Tactics, a new turn-based tactical game that’s coming to PC and consoles in 2027. The game is a single-player-only title where players command an elite team of Rainbow Six operatives across the globe.
What Ubisoft has announced is Rainbow Six meets XCOM. Players will command Rainbow Six forces against global threats from a strategic HQ. Players can assign operatives, upgrade their base, and decide how to tackle threats. Within the game’s turn-based battles, environmental destruction is key. Operators can use reconnaissance tools, gadgets, and environmental destruction to create favourable outcomes. If a wall is in your way, blow it up. This XCOM-style game clearly has Rainbow Six Siege DNA.
Rainbow Six Tactics is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. On PC, the game will be available through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game will also be streamable through GeForce Now.
Rainbow Six Tactics’ campaign will feature dozens of missions that are set across the globe. Players will have access to 15 Rainbow Six operatives, each of which has unique abilities, gadgets, and skill trees. Missions include hostage rescue, bomb disposal, target elimination, and more.
Rainbow Six Tactics will be released in 2027. The game is available to Wishlist now on PC.
