Intel Nova Lake production details leak – Q1 2027 launch revealed
A new slide has leaked detailing Intel’s plans for Nova Lake-S (NVL) and the company’s planned LGA1954 (900-series) platform. This slide confirms many prior Nova Lake leaks and gives a firm release timeframe for Intel’s next-generation Core Ultra 400 series CPUs.
According to the slide, Intel plans to start mass-producing its Nova Lake-S CPUs in Q4 2026, with the first Nova Lake CPUs set for release in Q1 2027. This will start with a 28-core CPU variant, with larger (up to 52-core) models arriving later. The slide also confirms CPU models with bLLC cache (up to 288MB) will be released, stating that Intel’s bLLC cache technology is “directly comparable to AMD 3D V-Cache” and delivers a “leap in gaming performance”.
The slides also state that Nova Lake will represent the “most significant upgrade to the desktop platform in recent years”. The slide also signals support for higher-speed DDR5 memory. It also confirms that Nova Lake-S will use “next-generation P-core, E-core, and LP-E-core” architectures.

The leaked slide clearly states that LGA1954 will support “direct CPU upgrades for many years to come”. LGA1954 will start with new 900-series motherboards that support Nova Lake CPUs. Next will come Razor Lake and then Hammer Lake. This means that LGA1954 will support at least three generations of Intel CPUs. If this leaked slide is correct, Nova Lake will be a huge product launch for Intel. With new core architectures and bLLC cache, Intel fans can expect a significant performance boost, especially in games. They can also expect a motherboard platform that will support more product generations than any Intel platform in recent history. LGA1954 appears to be Intel’s attempt to mimic the success of AMD’s AM4/AM5 motherboard platforms. This will give Nova Lake users easy access to future Razor Lake and Hammer Lake CPU upgrades, and potentially other future upgrades.
