PCSpecialist Vesper Duel System Review
Introduction and Build Configuration
Introduction
A new month, a new pre-built system from PCSpecialist is available. This time in the form of the Vesper Duel.
We’ve often spoken about how carefully PCSpecialist choose their components, and this system is no exception. It has all the affordable gaming options you’d hope to find. Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti is the perfect choice for 1440P gaming, and on all but the most taxing games will do 4K smoothly too. 32GB of RAM is enough for almost any scenario. The main M.2 might only be 1TB but it’s PCI Gen4 so you get plenty of transfer speeds. Being built on the Strix F motherboard there are four other slots for future upgrades, if the price of storage ever becomes affordable again.
Our favourite item follows on from our review in March of the PCSpecialist Nebula Star. Back then it was very close to this arrangement but with the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. We liked the original Ultra 200S processors more than most, and the refined Plus models are staggeringly good. So to see a Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus at the heart of this Vesper Duel got us excited. You might think that an i7/Ultra 7 CPU is a bit middle of the road, but the new Ultra 7 270K Plus makes the 13th and 14th gen i7s look positively slothlike. And without the annoying degrading that occurred on those CPUs.
The Vesper Duel has a fantastic configuration, so let’s stop wittering on and show you how it looks in the flesh before we put it to the test.
