Nvidia RTX 5090 models listed as “not carried” by Micro Center
Micro Center changes RTX 5090 GPU listings from “out of stock” to “not carried” in the US
The US retailer Micro Center has listed several Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU models as “not carried”, instead of its usual “out of stock”, implying that the graphics card may not be returning to the retailer once existing supply is extinguished.
Videocardz spotted this change in RTX 5090 listings, noting the status on multiple GPU listings. This change supports recent claims that Nvidia has discontinued its RTX 5090 GPU. Nvidia has reportedly allocated its GB202 silicon entirely to RTX PRO series products, leaving nothing behind for Nvidia’s gaming-oriented GeForce product line.
While some retailers still have RTX 5090 GPUs in stock, GPU prices have continued to rise. In the UK, major retailers appear to have fewer RTX 5090 models available. This suggests retail stock is diminishing. This further supports the claim that Nvidia has discontinued the RTX 5090. As of now, Nvidia has not officially commented on the status of its GeForce RTX 5090 gaming GPU.

In the UK, RTX 5090 pricing has shot above £5,000. Many listings are £5,999.99 or higher. The most affordable RTX 5090 that we could find in stock was £5,399.99. That’s 3x Nvidia’s official RTX 5090 MSRP of £1799.
As it stands, the RTX 5090 doesn’t exist as a gaming product. The GPU is simply too expensive. The GPU was expensive at its MSRP. Now it’s simply unaffordable for almost anyone. Unless you have a buisness use case or are part of the ultra-wealthy elite with cash to burn, the RTX 5090 isn’t worth considering, at least at today’s prices.
